I love food and have a special place in my heart for seafood, so travelling from coast to coast of France and Spain was pretty much perfect for me...
Warning - picture heavy post!
A genius dish of fish and seafood served with a baked potato, from my favourite French restaurant in St Jean de Luz. |
Beautiful goats cheese salad in Hendaye. |
Greek tapas in Madrid (from a brilliant, noisy, lively Greek restaurant). |
Selection of cheese pinchos (mini tapas) from the amazing Mercado de San Miguel in Madrid. |
Another selection of pinchos at el mercado. |
Yummy posh Iberian pork scratchings. |
Albondigas (meatballs) cooking on camping gas. |
The famous seafood linguine - the prawns and mussels that you can buy in Spanish supermarkets are such good quality! |
Falafels from Moaz - recommend by friends as possibly the best fast food ever! |
Tapas in Andorra (ordered in a mixture of Spanish and French with a waitress who was more fluent in English than we were in any other language :S ). |
Another gorgous goats cheese salad, this time for lunch in Toulouse. |
And the fabulous caesar salad. |
On our last day we enjoyed coq au vin and steak in Paris. |
Gosh, this holiday has put me on a bit of a blogging roll - daily posts since Monday?! I think that's a record for me. Not something I'll manage to continue with methinks!

Wow, what an amazing trip filled with wonderful feasts! Wish I was there:)
Oh my! I do wish I had been with you. I would have gained 10 pounds with all that glorious food. I really have got to do Spain soon.
Never seen a Cesar salad like that before
